Yoga Marga

Yoga Marga is a Sanskrit term that translates to "the path of yoga" or "the way of yoga". It refers to the traditional system of yoga that includes physical postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), meditation (dhyana), and ethical guidelines (yamas and niyamas) aimed at attaining spiritual liberation or union with the divine. Yoga Marga is based on the teachings of ancient yogis who developed various techniques and practices to help humans transcend the limitations of their mind and body and connect with their innermost core. The path of Yoga Marga is said to require discipline, self-awareness, and devotion to the practice, and it can lead to profound personal transformation and growth.

Yoga Marga is designed for individuals who are interested in practicing yoga and want to deepen their knowledge and understanding of its principles. It is suitable for all levels of yoga practitioners, from beginners to advanced students, and emphasizes a holistic approach to yoga that encompasses physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of the practice. Ultimately, Yoga Marga is designed for anyone who wishes to cultivate a deeper connection with themselves and the world around them through the practice of yoga.

Sadhguru's deep understanding of the human body and mind is the very quintessence of Yoga Marga, which is our signature program. Spread over twenty-one days, Yoga Marga is extremely intense, focused, dynamic and distinctly therapeutic in nature - especially geared towards people with chronic health conditions. However, even those in good health have found the program to be life-changing, seeing it as an opportunity to deepen their practices and bring the body and mind to a deeper level of balance, stability and harmony. The impact of the program is very individual and demands high levels of commitment and motivation, with an emphasis on process orientation and not results. This gives you an opportunity to work with your own self in a natural and non-invasive way to achieve balance.

Yoga Marga is open only to those who have been initiated into Shambhavi Mahamudra or Shoonya meditation, and who have been practising for at least three months.

Yoga Marga is a style of yoga that focuses on the spiritual aspects of yoga practice. It emphasizes traditional Indian yoga practices, including asanas, pranayama, and meditation. It also incorporates teachings from Indian spiritual traditions, such as Advaita Vedanta and Kashmir Shaivism. Participants in Yoga Marga can expect to practice yoga in a way that is deeply connected to spirituality and traditional Indian culture.
