Bhastrika Pranayama

 

Bhastrika Pranayama is a breathing technique in yoga that involves rapid and forceful inhalations and exhalations through the nose while keeping the mouth closed. Here are the steps to perform Bhastrika Pranayama:

  1. Sit comfortably in a cross-legged position with your back straight.
  2. Place your hands on your knees, palms facing up.
  3. Take a deep breath in through your nose, filling your lungs completely.
  4. Exhale forcefully through your nose, contracting your abdominal muscles to push out all the air.
  5. Rapidly inhale and exhale through your nose, keeping your mouth closed.
  6. Focus on the sound and feeling of the breath moving in and out of your body.
  7. After a few rounds, take a deep breath in and hold it for a few seconds before slowly exhaling.
  8. Rest for a few moments before repeating the practice.
